I am a champion for lifelong learning and self-growth. Higher education is incredibly dear to my heart because it is the one place on earth where individuals are challenged, interact with dynamic people, and evolve personally, professionally, and emotionally—all at once. It is my privilege to facilitate students’ success and wellness so that they are holistically better individuals who contribute to a just and equitable society.

The most influential person in my life

My great-grandmother, Mother Grace, influenced my life in ways I did not realize until I was an adult. I grew up being the only girl surrounded by my older boy cousins, so I was rough. While Mother Grace was a tough woman, she also modeled humility and kindness towards everyone. Of all the lessons, treating others even better than I expect to be treated rings true through everything I do.
