Who is A+?

Who we are.

Louisiana A+ Schools is a comprehensive, whole-school education transformation model that fosters creativity in every learner through arts integration. LAA+ utilizes the A+ Essentials, a set of eight commitments, to help guide schools toward this transformation. Through in-depth teacher training, access to a library of learning resources, virtual course ware, and funding opportunities, schools are equipped with the tools necessary to create great change in how we do school.

Central to this effort are the LAA+ Fellows, a distinguished group of over 30 master educators, including National Board Certified Teachers, Arts Specialists, Professional Teaching Artists, School Principals, Arts Organization Administrators, and School District Supervisors. These Fellows provide year-round professional development in arts integration, driving school-wide transformation in LAA+ Schools.

Supporting this initiative is the Louisiana A+ Staff who advance the mission and vision of LAA+ by maintaining the organization’s overall infrastructure to ensure sustainability, foster network growth, and maintain consistent implementation within our schools. This dedication supports the goal of delivering high-quality professional development to our schools.
